PRICE FURTHER REDUCED - Here is a very nice Model 54 that has been used, but was well taken care of. As the precursor to the Model 70, this gun sports the strong claw extractor bolt. A serial number of 47510A places manufacture in 1936, the last year of Model 54 production. This rifle has an outstanding bore with rifling crisp and the lands clean. Metal with over 90% bluing but fading and worn on the lower magazine plate and bolt. There is a bare spot on the left side of the barrel that may have been touched up. Wood all solid but with handling marks, a small crack starting on tang, crisp checkering and small dents. Gun has original metal butt plate, front ramp with brass bead, and a later period folding leaf rear sight. The receiver top has four holes for mounting a scope, and the bolt number matches the serial number on the receiver. Trigger pull strong and rifle comes with period sling swivels. A C&R is acceptable to ship this 30-06 Winchester Model 54 rifle.
