This is a Winchester Model 55 barreled lever-action rifle in 30 WCF. The gun has serial number 133786 indicating that this gun has an 1894 receiver that was made in 1898. The rifle has a factory-custom half-magazine and fancy walnut stock. The gun looks to have been factory rebarrelled, with a Model 55 barrel that has the circled P stamped behind the Winchester logo. Barrel length is 24 inch with finish rating about 95% blue. Bore is excellent, being shiny with strong rifling. Finish on the receiver rates about 85%, with only thinning on the bottom where gun was carried; and, someone has lightly etched their initials on the bottom of the receiver. The stock is made from highgrade walnut, with a few scratches, one small (<1 in.) crack and original Winchester curved metal butt plate. Original Winchester Buckhorn rear sight with elevator, while front sight is raised Marble No 2. Because of the receiver production date, this gun does not require a FFL for shipping.
