SOLD Older Hopkins Allen Falling Block shotgun. The gun has an outside hammer and is lever operated. Bluing has turned to a deep brown patina over the entire gun. Evidence of old pitting on the lower lever arm, but other than that all metal in very good condition. Bore has minor pitting just past chamber from black powder, but rest in good shape. Forearm has small sliver missing on left side above checkering. Gun has an Ithaca Gun Company butt plate logo and pistol grip stock. All wood fits tight to metal parts. Original front bead still on gun. Lever and all internal mechanisms and hammer operate smoothly, with a strong hammer spring and stamped number of 2604. A very nice piece of early American gun history and a rare find for a gun, made in the later 1880s, to still be in this condition.
