A Third Model 1890 Winchester in SHORT. The gun has serial number 598603, placing production in 1918, which was 14 years before this model ended production. The gun has a correct outer magazine with a collar. The bore is truly outstanding on this gun. All internal parts function properly. Wood in very good condition with XX walnut replacement stock and nickel-plated crescent metal butt plate. Barrel retains well over 90% of original bluing, with only noticable wear on the crisp octagon edges. Original Winchester sights still on the gun with MOD. 1890 22 short stamped on the barrel metal. All internal parts functional with bolt closing cleanly with receiver. A very nice representative 1890 Winchester pump .22 rifle.
