A WINCHESTER MODEL 1890, made for .22 short ammunition. This is a Third Model gun, with production in late 1909, with a serial number of 391202. The bore on this gun is fair with some rifling evident and extensive markings in the lans. Brown patina with oxidation over 95% on the barrel and magazine, with slightly less on the receiver. Original Globe front with post missing and rear sight has a broken leaf, with both sights complimented by a Marbles tang sight. Curved metal butt plate still on this gun. Wood with handling marks and at all junctures solid to metal frame. It looks like someone tried to remove the barrel as there are marks by the receiver and in the process they offset the barrel. This is a decent 1890 Winchester pump 22 rifle that can be easily made into shootable condition.
