An early 1906 Winchester in very good condition. The serial number of this gun is #291868 placing production in 1912. The gun has a very good bore with only minor marking in the lans, with the rifling strong throughout entire barrel. Wood all solid, fitting tight to metal surfaces. Smooth forearm is correct for this age gun and the original gum wood stock was lightly sanded in the past, and is now compeltely smooth with no marring or dents. Original Winchester butt plate and buttplate-screws. Metal in excellent condition with bluing starting to wear but still covering over 90% of the barrel, magazine and receiver metal. Original issue Winchester front and rear sights still on this gun, with the post reduced on the front sight and elevation screw present on the rear sight with 1901 Patent date. All interal parts working with action tight and bolt fitting snugly into the receiver. It does not look like this gun has had that much use, and would be a good addition to any Winchester collection.
