An early Model 63 Special Winchester rifle with a serial number of 55675, placing production of the gun in very early 1946. This special gun has checkering on the stock and the forearm. All wood is solid to metal parts without any cracks and only a few handling marks. Metal still retains over 95% original bluing. Scope is a period additon (Lyman Alaskan all weather #13385, single post), solidly attached to gun on Redfield base, with Winchester blank in rear-sight dovetail. Bore on this Model 63 is in excellent condition, bright and shiney and rifling prominent. All internal parts operate smoothly on this rifle. A very nice shooting Winchester 63 Special, semi-automatic rifle.
