~~~Sale~~~ Reduced from $329 to $279--A Remington Armory Model 1917 that was sold to the Russian Czar just prior to WWI. This rifle is chambered for the 7.62 x 54R Mosin-Nagant cartridge, and the gun is in very good conditon. The rifle has correct Russian stamps on the receiver and the serial number is 581286, indicating production in 1916. This rifle also features a box magazine and part numbers all match on the receiver, magazine and bolt. The rifle comes with a 24 inch round, blued barrel and a half length modified sporting stock, added pistol grip, rubber butt plate, rear peep sight and original front blade sight, and bolt has been sporterizer and turned downward. The LOP is 14 inches, and a rubber extender (with US flaming bomb and serial number of B200968), makes LOP 15 inches. The stock has a rubber butt plate and a small amount of plastic filler has been added on the top, otherwise all wood sound and in much better condition that one usually finds in guns of this age. The bore is clean and bright and the rifling very sharp. The rifle has been reworked from the original condition but has been very well done and all internal parts are operative. Buyer receives a discount of 25% on the Russian 7.62 ammunition that came with this WW I rifle.
