A WWI Remington Armory Model 1917 Mosin-Nagant Rifle, chambered for the 7.62 x 54R cartridge in very good conditon. The rifle has correct Russian stamps on receiver and the serial number is 581286, indicating production in 1916. This rifle also features a box magazine and part numbers all match on the receiver, magazine and bolt. This rifle comes with a 24 inch round, blued barrel and a half length modified sporting stock, added pistol grip, rubber butt plate, rear peep sight and original front blade sight. The bolt has been sporterizer. The Length-of-pull (LOP) is 14 inches, and a rubber extender (with US flaming bomb and serial number of B200968), makes LOP 15 inches. The stock has a red rubber butt plate and a small amount of plastic filler added on the top. All wood is sound and in much better condition that one usually finds in guns this age. The bore is clean and bright and the rifling very sharp. This rifle has been reworked from the original military condition but has been very well done and all internal parts are operative.
