New Consignment - Swedish Mauser in Excellent condition. This truly is one beautiful Swedish Mauser Mod. 96, 6.5x55 which is dated 1905 all matching numbers except the cleaning rod. The finish is still in excellent condition, and the barrel has a bright bore. These Swedish Mausers were way ahead of their time by using lighter and much more accurate cartridges 6.5x55. The steel in these rifles is reported to be of the finest quality. Even when Germany started making rifles for Sweden, they still insisted on them using only Swedish steel for their manufacture. I have shot this rifle and it is great shooter. On the top of the receiver is engraved: "CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI 1905" along with the crown; all markings are crisp. This comes with a flash suppressor, an extra lower front sight that can be installed, and the correct sling. The still intact brass disk indicates the rifle was tested for serviceability and passed very well. Shipping is only $30.00.
