PENDING SALE Was $1,500 and now reduced to $1050. A beautifully preserved Slide-action Medium-framed Colt Lightning rifle in 38-40 caliber. The rifle has a round 26" barrel with a 15 shot tubular magazine. Bore is shiny and like new, with rifling prominent. Serial number is 81970, placing this gun near the end of production as 89,777 guns were manufactured between 1884 and 1902. Metal all in outstanding condition, with bluing still evident on well over 75% of entire gun. The left side of the receiver has the rearing colt clearly visible, and there is one small scratch on each side. Wood is very good condition with one small crack emanating from the left tang and small chip near bottom of butt plate. Action is flawless and all parts work well. The Colt name and Hartford address are stamped on the barrel along with the patent dates, all clearly legible. Sights original with elevator still on rear sight. Forearm wood is in perfect condition. It is rare to find a good colt lightning rifle in this type of condition. This is a much sought after gun today for the new interest in cowboy shooting sports. The perfect gun for the serious Colt collector or cowboy action shooter.

Sale PendningA rare Nickel plated special order Third Model 1890, in outstanding condition. Serial number of 567264 places production in 1919. Nickel plating over most of receiver is intact with only a little wear on the lower tang. Butt plate still show traces of nickel, but only on the very top. Wood all in outstanding condition with a few minor dents in the stock. Bore immaculate and barrel with over 90% bluing with only wear at the very tip and two small marks behind front sight. Original Winchester sights on front and rear. Gun has not been altered.

A very early pre-64 Winchester Model 70, and the perfect all-around gun for Africa. This rifle was manufactured in 1941 and retains over 80% blueing on barrel and receiver. A muzzle break has been added and the gun is Ackley Improved with a free-bore anterior to chamber. These modifications allow you to shoot 270-300 grain bullets comfortably, at speeds well over 2500 fps. Glass bedded stock with enforced swivels for sling. A 3X9 Leupold scope and reinforced mounts can be purchased with this gun as an option. Reloading information specifically for this rifle is also available for IMR 4350 powder and Barnes bullets (the gun likes Barnes bullets).
