~~~SOLD~~~Winchester Model 70 pre-64 in the much sought after 30-06 Featherweight. A serial number of 4110690 places production of this rifle in mid-1957. Metal retains over 95 percent original bluing with light wear at muzzle, floorplate, and bolt handle and with a small scratch on the left barrel side. Wood solid with some handling marks and one scrape near receiver on left side of stock, to a correct checkered aluminum metal butt plate. Checkering is still crisp. Bore is in excellent condition and it appears that a scope has never been mounted on this rifle. Rear sight is a Winchester Model 69 folding and the front post still has original hood. Serial number on bolt matches that of the gun. This would make an excellent hunting rifle while retaining significant Winchester Collector value.
