A Winchester 1894 Sporting Rifle in 30-30 caliber, and in very good condition. A serial number of 416414 places production in early 1907. Bluing and patina still cover over 95 percent of barrel and magazine. The receiver and tang metal have less cover with bluing in protected areas, while the finger lever still has bluing, yielding ~80 percent overall bluing for the entire rifle. Wood all solid with no cracks and a few handling marks while the stock and forearm still retain most of the original finish. Bore still has strong rifling and with minimal markings in the lands. Hammer has correct checkering pattern for this age 1894. This Sporting Rifle has a special order Winchester No. 22B front sight with large blade, while the rear dovetail has a No. 22B Sporting sight with adjustable 3B elevator. All internal parts function properly. This 1894 is a very collectible early Winchester Sporting Rifle with a 26" octagon barrel that still retains crisp edges.
