You have determined the model of your 1903 Winchester. Now you will need to determine which variation you have. Both Standard and Deluxe have the same variations.
Step 2: Determine the Variation of model type
Select one of the following choices
The barrel is 20"long, the receiver top is smooth with take-down screw on the back, and the serial number is lower than 5000. There is no safety on the rifle-- You have an 'Early Model 1903' version. |
The barrel is 20"long, the receiver top is smooth with take-down screw on the back, and the serial number is HIGHER than 5000 and up to 126,000. There is a safety present on the rifle -- You have a 'Later Model 1903' version. |
