~~~SOLD~~~ A very early Model 71 Deluxe in .348 caliber with long tang. This rifle has serial number 14360 placing production in 1938. Rifle is in excellent original condition with over 95 percent bluing on barrel and 3/4 magazine. The receiver has wear only on metal edges and finger lever. Wood all solid and also in excellent condition with original finish and a minimum of handling marks. Butt plate is correct, checkered metal with upper lip into the stock wood. The rifle formerly had a scope and the single owner could no longer use it, and he placed a Marbles peep sight on the tang. Rifle also comes with sling swivels and a leather sling. Bore on this rifle is in outstanding condition with crisp rifling and shiny lands. This Model 71 would make a perfect hunting rifle. Note that in our AMMUNITION SITE, there are Reloading dies, brass and ammunition available for sale, that came with this gun.
