Winchester 1890 in WRF (ref # 2483

An 1890 Winchester 3rd model blued version in the less common WRF caliber. A serial number of 680144 places production of this rifle in late 1922. Lettering on the barrel and serial numbers are still crisp and roll die markings still clear. Wood all solid and in good condition. Bore with prominent rifling and a few markings in the lands. Bores on these early WRF black powder WRF rifles were negatively influenced by cartridges that utilized a mercuric oxide primer. All internal parts of this rifle operate perfectly with bolt tight to receiver and trigger spring still strong. Overall, a very nice 1890 Winchester pump 22 rifle in the rare WRF caliber.
