This beautiful Pen and Ink drawing of a Mule Deer is one of a kind! Every detail, right down to the texture on the antlers is attended to. This illustration appears in the 4th edtion of the The Colorado Plateau, a book that is due to be published about research in the southwest. It is the frontis piece for the chapter highlighting Large Game Management on the Colorado Plateau.

The artist is Kim van Riper, a professional artist based in Tempe AZ and graduate of the ASU Fine Art School. The original has been sold, but prints are available. They are high quality laser prints, hand-signed by the artist.
