~~~SOLD~~~ THIS WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 Sporting rifle comes in the desirable 30 ARMY (30-40 Krag) Caliber. A serial number of 41297 places production in 1904. The bore is in very good shape, shiny and with rifling still very strong with some minor marking in the lands between the rifling. The barrel is 28 inches and bluing is patchy with two old rusted areas about the size of a dime on barrel and where gun was carried, that have been cleaned. Receiver with more bluing and some has turned to a soft brown patina. The rifle chambers and ejects just fine. Correct front post sight and Marbles flat buckhorn rear sight and elevator. The forearm and stock wood are in good condition, have normal handling marks with some dents, and are solid to all metal unions. A very nice working 1895 Winchester Sporting rifle for a reasonable price.
