Winchester 1890 2nd Model LONG (ref # 1163)

"An 1890 Winchester in the rare Second Model with entire receiver and no safety notch for the bolt. This rifle has serial number 302880 placing production in very early 1907, thus making it a blued-frame Second Model. The rifle is chambered for .22 LONG bullet and the bore still with strong rifling and some markings in the lands. Wood all solid and tight to metal unions. Stock with a piece of ealy Colorado history as the name ""Sam Chappel"" and ""Glenwood Springs"" is etched into the left side. Bluing and a brown patina still on magazine and majority of the barrel, while a spotty patina on the receiver. A rare piece of Colorado and Winchester firearm history at a reasonable price."
