Winchester 1890 SHORT (ref # 1158)

PRICE REDUCED ---Winchester 1890 Third Model in 22 SHORT in all original condition. A serial number of 765738 places production of this rifle in the later stages of the 1890 history, probably in the early 1940s clean-up period. Wood all excellent with an unusual X Grade wood on the stock, that has a high sheen. Wood forearm is also in good condition and all wood on gun solid to metal unions. Bore is outstanding on this rifle, bright and shiny and still with strong rifling. Even the lands on this bore are still clean, and it is not often that an 1890 pump 22 rifle is found with this quality bore. Sights are original Winchester issue, with the 30B rear sight with patent date and post still crisp on the No. 75A front sight. A truly Collectable 1890 Winchester that would also serve as an quality shooting rifle.
