~~~SOLD~~~ A very early original Marlin 1892 22 rifle. A serial number of 141474 indicates production in 1896, so this rifle can be shipped directly to the Buyer. The rifle is in exceptional condition with over 90 percent bluing remaining on all metal surfaces. The barrel, magazine and finger lever with small patches of mottling. The magazine functions properly, sliding forward for loading and still has bluing cover. Bore is shiny with rifling very worn, but the rifle is still accurate. The curved metal buttplate is correct and still retains some bluing, with stock wood still proud to metal edges. Wood is exceptional with very few handling marks and all tight to metal junctions. Sights on this gun are the standard Marlin factory issue for 22 rifles with a post in the front and fixed blade on the rear. This is a true Collector Quality Marlin 1892 rifle in exceptional condition.
