An early Winchester 1895 Flatside with serial number of 1572 in 30 US caliber. Gun was made in first real year of production and is in outstanding condition with bluing averaging 70%over entire gun. Receiver still with considerable original bluing, barrel thinning and a few pits on lower lever. Gun has a special order Lyman side sight with original issue Winchester sights still on the gun. Wood very good with no cracks and only minor dents on stock and one larger depression on left forearm. Bore is in outstanding condition, bright and shiny. A rare find for the serious Winchester Collector and this gun comes with a letter of authencity from the Cody Museum.
